Without always knowing it, Kim has been a Heartist her entire life. The “wild” part – well, that came later.
Kim grew up in a house filled with her mom’s portraits and naked lady sculptures. As a child, she drew in every spare moment when she wasn’t posing (clothed) for hours while her mom painted oil portraits of her. Her mother left behind a collection of beautiful paintings of Kim and her sisters looking bored and pissed off. She died in 2019 and they are now a cherished part of her legacy.
For Kim, art is in her blood. At one point, she thought she would be a professional artist, until she realized she would need to show others her art. Too scary, she thought. With her mom’s fine art paintings as a measuring stick, Kim falsely believed she needed to make “perfect” art. This was just a story she told herself, of course. So she avoided the persistent urge to just play with paint -for years.
